episode #2 of 3rd season / Air Date: 9/21/75 Arrow written by Kenneth Johnson Arrow Directed by Richard Moder

Steve (the bionic man) & Jaime (the bionic woman) return to their hometown of Ojai, CA at the start of this one, the 2nd part of an amnesiac Jaime's return from the dead. The first half of this episode is pretty laid back, with the characters almost in reverie as they kick back in the quiet countryside. There's finally a little tension when Jaime decides to visit the town proper - the danger here is that recalling her past moments may also trigger the same pain which killed her. So, in that regard, this whole plan of healing her mind is also fraught with danger. Afterward, Jaime decides to keep busy - time to go on her new 1st (actually 2nd) mission, again involving a larger-than-life villain (Dennis Patrick) dressed in white - deja vu! clown

The missions in these Bionic Woman episodes seem quite incidental to the overall plot - they're a small part of these episodes. The focus is on the developing character of Jaime Sommers and her relationship with Steve Austin. Even though she has no memory in these last 2 episodes, she and Steve quickly bond - in part over their mutual bionic abilities - and it's hinted that they would eventually get together again even if her memory never returned. However, Steve must make another sacrifice by the conclusion, as the potential for her to relapse may be triggered by him, another tragic turn to the whole bionic love story. Ford Rainey returns here as Steve's stepdad, but his mom is away in Bakersfield. BoG's Score: 6.5 out of 10

Bionic Trivia:
they were really overdoing the slow-mo by this time: at one point, the villain is also running in slow motion - and he's not even bionic! Mad
