This episode's story had marked similarities to the old Robert Heinlein sf story The Puppet Masters (made as a film much later in 1994). The plot has to do with alien invasion in the form parasitic creatures which take over human beings, but throws in themes about alienation within our own society. This also probably carries intended similarities to historic despotic regimes, such as Hitler's Germany, where-in social misfits prospered in the new, totalitarian society.

In this one, there are 3 of these misfits, arriving at what looks like an army boot camp which is actually a secret base for the planned new regime, headed by a governor (George MacReady), but one of the misfits (Don Gordon) is actually an agent of the establishment, i.e. a government agent. There is a creepy, ominous tone for most of this. There was also a famous Star Trek TNG episode, Conspiracy, which had a similar threat and plot. BoG's Score: 6.5 out of 10
