episode #07 - Eyewitness to Murder
Air Date: 3/8/74 written by William Driskill Directed by Alf Kjellin
Austin happens to be an eyewitness when an assassination attempt on a prominent prosecutor (William Schallert) takes place. At first, Oscar Goldman doesn't want anything to do with some police matter, but then he gets a call from Washington D.C. - yep, it's important enuff for Austin to be involved. The assassin (Gary Lockwood) has an impressive rep and a special trick up his sleeve. However, though the assassin is one of those 'never fails/never misses' pros, his first failed attempt had nothing to do with Austin - the target simply bent over at the wrong moment. BoG's Score: 6 out of 10
Bionic Trivia: Lockwood's character would return for revenge at the end of the 2nd season in Steve Austin, Fugitive
Star Trek TOS actor alert:
Lockwood appeared in the pilot Where No Man Has Gone Before, while Schallert was in The Trouble With Tribbles
