episode #33 - The Night Demon
episode #20 of 2nd season / Air Date: 3/23/77 written by Justin Edgerton directed by Alan J. Levi
A rather cheesy episode - entertaining for kids - which suggests that an evil Indian spirit is haunting a friend of Jaime's (Jeff Corey as an Indian professor) who dug up a small obsidian totem. Gary Lockwood (who played an assassin in a couple of 6MDM episodes) is a neighbor who warns about disturbing an Indian burial ground, but we suspect he may have ulterior motives. John Quade plays the creepy local retailer who makes lewd remarks at Jaime's expense. The saving grace of this one is the final act, when Jaime gets to use the full range of her bionic abilities to impress and frighten the con artists with her own bionic con. It's still kind of silly, even with the mention of holography and, yet again, Uranium! BoG's Score: 6 out of 10
Star Trek TOS actor alert: Lockwood appeared as a crewman-gone-godlike in the pilot episode Where No Man Has Gone Before, while Corey was in The Cloud Minders.
