A small community is harrassed by the local band of scavengers. Nearby is a field of old, defunct machinary which is deemed off-limits by the leader (Marshall Thompson) of the community. However, one young member of the community has found a small, working tank (the cannon doesn't work, but the vehicle moves about easily enough). When the scavengers capture the leader's daughter, with the intent of selling her into slavery, the Ark II team must devise a way to free her, as well as convince the community leader that machines in itself are not bad.

actor Marshall Thompson is well-known to sci-fi fans for his roles in It!The Terror From Beyond Space (1958) and Fiend Without a Face.
