Deadly Harvest (1977 Canada)

This was one of many warnings in the seventies about an upcoming, inevitable ecological disaster (perhaps started by No Blade of Grass in 1970). In this case, drought has caused crop failure, which causes famine, and farmers in particular are in hard times. It focuses on one farming family headed by Clint Walker. There's a suggestion of society slowly breaking down and anarchy taking over. It's a bare bones budget and comes across like a TV movie most times, except for some violence. BoG's Score: 4 out of 10
