Episode #54: Booby Trap
BOOBY TRAP - episode #6 of 3rd season / Air Date: 10/30/89 / Directed by Gabrielle Beaumont
written by Ron Roman, Michael Piller, Richard Danus (teleplay), Michael Wagner (story)
This begins on the holodeck with La Forge, on a recreation of a beach; he's on a date with a female crew member. This reveals that he doesn't do that well with the opposite sex. I couldn't care that much - this is not what I watch TNG (or TOS) episodes for; this scene does connect with later ones in the episode, however, when the computer creates a holo-version of Leah Brahms (Susan Gibney), a designer of the Enterprise, to help La Forge with the latest problem (note how the computer creates her; La Forge doesn't directly ask for this, so we don't think he's some holo-pervert, like the later Barclay episodes).
