episode #01 - The Galaxy Being (pilot)

Cliff Robertson guest-stars in the first episode as a man obsessed with making contact with an extra-galactic (from Andromeda?) or extra-dimensional entity; unfortunately, he succeeds too well. However, reflecting the usual appraisal that this was an intelligent show, the alien entity is not intentionally hostile; it's just a case of incompatibility between 2 planes of existence.


Robertson was pretty good in the central role; he was already a fairly big star in films at this point, so getting him for this was a coup. His character's obsessive distraction is a cause for concern for his wife (Jacqueline Scott) and his partner (Lee Phillips).
The moral? Maybe... be careful of what you seek when in the pursuit of knowledge. It may not be all benign. Or.. it may be too early or at the wrong time... BoG's Score: 6.5 out of 10
