episode #15, segment 1: Monsters!
#15a: MONSTERS! written by Robert Crais; Directed by B.W.L. Norton
The new neighbor (Ralph Bellamy) in suburbia may just be a vampire. The boy next door is a big monster film fan and witnesses the old guy lifting one end of a car - looks like he's found his first real monster. But, real vampires are not the same as described in films and books according to this old guy.
This tries for a different hook - the suggestion that humans may act as antibodies in their area, reacting to invading viruses (vampires), but I found it to be confusing & pointless when I first watched it. I think it tries for too many things, including the bonding of father & son.
BoG's Score: 6 out of 10
