Episode #27, segment 2 - Nightsong
#27b: NIGHTSONG (episode #3 of 2nd season)
written by Michael Reaves Directed by Bradford May
A modern ghost story. This concerns a young female DJ (Lisa Eilbacher) still pining away for a past lover (Antony Hamilton) who deserted her for a singing career. The man returns one night as she's playing the only album he released ("Nightsong" natch). He seems apologetic but also cryptic; she's angry at first but obviously still has strong feelings for him. I think we can all guess where this is going, revolving around closure. It's not bad, though, helped by the two lead performances (apropos, there are almost no other characters in the whole episode) and probably works best for romantics. BoG's Score: 6.5 out of 10
Twilight Trivia: actress Eilbacher and director May were involved in real life and continued in a long-lasting marriage...
