Moon (2009)
- Spoiler:
- the man who wakes up after the accident is not the same man who got into the accident. Nope, he's a clone; actually, they're both clones. The new clone goes out also and finds the old clone who was injured in the accident, bringing him back to the base. So there are two of them now, both initially confused, then gradually finding out what's what. This is all a cost-cutting measure by the company that runs the operation; instead of paying 'real' employees to man the base, the company set up a secret large room in a lower level where all the clones are kept, each ready to be awakened by Gertie whenever a clone ends its 3-year lifespan.
- Spoiler:
- the tech and manufacturing for all this cloning would be so inexpensive as to be cheaper than just paying one real guy to man the base.
