episode #63 - Kill Oscar, Part II
episode #6 of 4th season / Air Date: 10/31/76
written by William Zacha, Arthur Rowe and Oliver Crawford directed by Barry Crane
This continued from The Bionic Woman episode (2nd season) Kill Oscar. Jaime (Lindsay Wagner) was incapacitated at the end of that episode after fighting a couple of Fembots and things look grim as her body may be rejecting her bionics again. However, she provides a clue for Austin and Rudy Wells with her bionic hearing. The gist of this episode is Austin's rescue mission to free Oscar from the clutches of the diabolical Dr. Franklin (John Houseman). He also runs into a couple of Fembots, but manages to find Oscar at Franklin's secret base. The rescue seems to be a success - but is it? Franklin seems a bit too pleased with himself; he's talking about a weather control device... uh-oh.
As with the other 2 parts of this 3-parter, there's a larger scope to the storyline than is usual, but what makes it a superior episode is the curves it throws at the audience. We think that the rescue of Oscar by Austin is the main action of this episode, but it's merely a feint; Dr. Franklin, after all, has a secret agenda. And, he has a secret weapon.
This concludes in Kill Oscar, Part 3 on The Bionic Woman show. BoG's Score: 7 out of 10
Bionic Trivia: it's established here that a female robot, a Fembot, weighs in at 495 lbs. and a male robot would weigh in at around 600 lbs.

- Spoiler:
- The way in which Austin catches on that all is not right with the 'Oscar' he brought back to OSI is fairly creative. And, it sets up another cyborg vs. Goldman robot battle (Oscar Goldman was replaced by a Dolenz robot in an earlier episode, Return of the Robot Maker, so this is the 2nd time we see a Goldman robot in action).
