A much earlier version of Stephen King's "Trucks" a.k.a. Maximum Overdrive (1986), though it seems to focus on just one cranky individual. BoG's Score: 5.5 out of 10; From Buzzfeed's rundown of all the episodes (ranked only #110 out of 156 episodes):

Trivia From the Zone: see also the older "Killdozer" by Theodore Sturgeon; Barney Phillips, who plays an opinionated TV repairman in this one, also appeared in the great TZ episode Will the Real Martian Please Stand Up?, as the counter man.A downside of our technological advances is that all of the older sci-fi based on a collective distrust of gadgets is now laughably antiquated. And “A Thing About Machines” — with stuffy Bartlett Finchley’s electric razor rising up like a snake to attack him — is especially so. He does die, though, leaving the audience wondering if it was his fear that did him in, or the thing he was afraid of.
