This is the least exciting (if you can get any less exciting than the others) of W. Lee Wilder's available films. The first parts take place in the snowy mountains, the final 20 minutes in LA at night. My already low expectations were disappointed because I could see the potential here. Unlike Wilder's other films, Snow Creature was original when it was made; it comes before The Abominable Snowman and Beast from Haunted Cave. It also offered lots of opportunities to have the yeti cause amusing havoc while sneaking around in LA. It's Myles Wilder's best story idea (Myles was Lee's son). But nope, nothing is made of the original concepts or the LA scenes. Long minutes are wasted with people plodding over one mountain ridge or another, or sitting and talking about rudiments. VideoHound writes correctly that it "strains credibility frame by frame" and that the yeti is obviously a "guy in bad suit sweating." The suit reminded me of the Martians of Invaders from Mars. Is there anything good? Well, it's got some nice stock footage of propeller planes.
