episode #03 - Operation Firefly
Air Date: 2/1/74 writer: Sy Salkowitz; story by Ric Hardman Directed by Reza Badiyi
This was another TV episode resembling the globe-hopping adventures of James Bond. To find a missing scientist, Austin first locates his daughter (Pamela Franklin) in a European town. Then they're off to the Everglades in Florida, where there are crocodiles and quicksand. The scientist has seemingly perfected a new laser weapon and the baddies are like some low grade version of SPECTRE, with Joe Ruskin playing the rep who keeps coming into Oscar Goldman's office, demanding extortion money. Franklin was kind of cute, though a mite clumsy with the crocs and quicksand. This wasn't too bad considering it was all done on a TV budget. BoG's Score: 6 out of 10

Bionic Trivia: this episode suggests real ESP abilities in the daughter; ESP gained popularity in the seventies.
Star Trek TOS actor alert: Ruskin appeared as an alien in The Gamesters of Triskelion
