On some alternate or future Earth, people are punished for the crime of 'coldness' - being uncaring, callous. Those so convicted are stamped with a mark on their forehead and prohibited from interacting with other people. The latest of these 'criminals' (Cotter Smith) is smug and unworried about this punishment but soon begins to feel the pangs of isolation, of being separate from everyone else.

The main character's evolution is interesting to watch but I also couldn't help feeling that this was all a big joke; as so described, the entire concept comes across like the worst sample of some pretentious New Wave conceit that aspires to being highly meaningful but, in the end, is just a goofy way to punish people. BoG's Score: 6 out of 10.
