episode #21, segment 2: Red Snow
#21b: RED SNOW - written by Michael Cassutt; Directed by Jeannot Szwarc
A combo mystery - horror thriller: a Soviet official (George Dzunda) who has seen better days is sent to Siberia to investigate the deaths of some Soviet officials. He soon finds out that modern vampires have found a good region to set up shop. This is slow in parts but also has the feel of a miniature movie, like an early version of 30 Days of Night. It also offers a possible explanation for the fall of the Soviet Union, years before it happened. An early role for Victoria Tennant. BoG's Score: 6 out of 10
