episode #03, segment 1: Healer
#3a: HEALER: written by Michael Bryant; Directed by Sigmund Neufeld Jr.
This segment, it seems, tried to capture the mood of those old spooky TZ episodes which featured small-time criminals or shady characters eventually getting a kind of comeuppance. You would see the underbelly of society briefly get a touch of the fantastic. Only thing is, this segment aired in the eighties, not the fifties or early sixties; it just wasn't able to fit in this tale. The main character, Jackie (Eric Bogosian), is a small-time crook who latches on to a special stone which heals. BoG's Score: 5 out of 10 Vincent Gardenia was always good in these small character roles, but even he can't help this one.
